THE 37 delegates of the 10th Mister International Pageant arrived in Manila last week at the height of APEC 2015 and are raring to succeed the reigning champion PO2 Mariano Flormata, Jr. aka Neil Perez, our very own “Mamang Pulis” who won the title in Bangkok, Thailand last February.
The delegates spent a week of fun-filled activities, photo and video shoots in Ilocos Norte and wowed the capacity crowds at the Gala Night and Fashion Show at House Manila of Remington Hotel last November 25 and at the Preliminary Competitions at One Esplanade last November 27.
The finals will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila on November 30. Here are my six favorites:
• Mister Brazil Anderson Tomazini, 26, a 6’1” university graduate and model from Sao Paulo;
• Mister Czech Republic Jakub Kraus, 26, 6’1 ½”, a fitness trainer who also runs his own health food business in Liberec;
• Mister Philippines Reniel Panganiban Villareal, 26, 6’2 ½”, a former OFW in Saudi Arabia who hails from Pagbilao, Quezon;
• Mister Poland Rafal Jonkisz, 18, 6’1 ½”, a competitive gymnast who attends sports school in Rzeszow;
• Mister Spain Daniel Dakila Barreres Del Mundo; 21, a senior student of Architecture from Valencia whose mom is Filipina and is crazy over lechon kawali, nata de coco and Nagaraya crackers;
• Mister Switzerland Pedro Mendes, 26, a 6’2” hunk who was born in Portugal and works for an energy development company in Geneva.
Mister International, one of the most coveted international pageants for men, is based in Singapore and provides an international platform for the winner by way of dedicated partnerships with charities, sponsors and brands around the world, allowing the winner to enrich others by providing humanitarian efforts while at the same time developing his personal career goals.
