TWO more Binibining Pilipinas titleholders embarked on their international pageant journeys, both hoping to keep the winning streak of Pinay beauties in the global pageant arena.

Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational 2016 Joanna Louise Deapera Eden, 19, and Bb. Pilipinas-Globe 2016 Nichole Marie Ramos Manalo, 26, were given a warm and exclusive sendoff party at the Versailles Tent of Novotel Manila at Araneta Center, Quezon City last November 10, with members of the press, as well as the two ladies’ families and friends.

Manalo, a registered nurse and the youngest sister of Bb. Pilipinas-World and Miss World 2002 top ten finalist Katherine-Ann Manalo-Hernandez and Miss Universe Philippines 2009 Bianca Manalo, will represent the country at the Miss Globe Pageant to be held at the National Opera Theater in Tirana, Albania on November 25.

Nichole vowed to do her best, shrugging the pressure for a back-to-back win, and keep the title for the Philippines won last year by her predecessor Ann Lorraine Colis in Toonto, Canada.

On the other hand, Eden, a half-Australian beauty whose mom is from Lucban, Quezon, will gun for the country’s second Miss Supranational crown sat the 8th annual pageant to be held at the Hall of Sports in the spa resort town of Krynica-Zdroj, Poland on December 2. Mutya Datul became the first Asian winner of the international tilt in Minsk, Belarus in 2013.

Meanwhile, Bb. Pilipinas-Grand International 2016 Nicole Ignacio Cordoves was also given a warm welcome on the same event upon her arrival from Las Vegas, Nevada where she snagged first runner-up honors at the 4th Miss Grand International Pageant, making her the highest-placed Pinay delegate thus far.

Kylie Fausto Verzosa, on the other hand was given a (late) evening welcome party at the same venue the following day, upon arriving from Tokyo, Japan, where she clinched the country’s 6th Miss International crown last October 27. The newest world beauty queen will be feted with a welcome parade around the Araneta Center ON November 18, and a three-day celebration in her native Baguio City next week.

Incidentally, the Miss Supranational Pageant has begotten a “brother” as the inaugural Mister Supranational Pageant will be held on December 3 also in Krynica-Zdroj, Poland.

Prime Events Productions Philippines Inc. (PEPPS), organizer of the annual Misters of Filipinas and the local licensee of Mister Supranational, gave Alberto Rodulfo “AR” Yap de la Serna, 21, a warm sendoff at Romulo Café in Quezon City last November 12.

“We are proud of the man that AR has become and we wish him all the best as he showcases to the world the essence masculinity and responsibility as the Philippines’ representative,” said PEPPS president Carlo Morris Galang during the vent.

“”It is inevitable for me to feel some pressure, being the first ever Philippine entry to the pageant, but with hard work and faith, I’m sure everything will be okay,” said the Business Management graduate from Bohol. “I have long dreamed of representing the Philippines in an international competition and I have mustered everything that I needed to do in order to make our country proud. Thank you for all your prayers and support.”

AR’s well-wishers included Mister International 2014 Neil Perez, Man of the Year 2016 Karan Singhdole and past and current “Misters” titleholders.
